A Scratcher is a device for cleaning mud and mud filter cake off the wellbore wall. It is fastened to the outside of casing and have metal wires to scrape mud cake off permeable zones so that the cement can bond solidly to the formation.
This wire scratches consists of a hinged collar and wire bristles are attached to it. It uses the hinge pins to secure the collars around the casing.
This product is available in all sizes ranging from 4 ½“ to 20”.
