We highly recommend the use of VFD driven equipment over the SCR driven equipment due to much less maintenance.
The VFD (AC) has great advantages in regard to your operations, where you can operate your mud pumps and top drive at low-to-none RPM under full torque and pressure.

The PCR‘s offer optional inputs from grid-power, which means that if you can get electric power from a power grid then you can run the rig fully or partially from the grid through the means of a power balancing system. For example, you can use a fixed amount of power from the grid and add-up with your available generator sets.
