One of the main uses for Globe Valves is to control both the flow rate and the pressure of fluids in a pipeline. Being one of the oldest valves designs currently in use, the globe style isolation valve are use usually for manual applications and in smaller amounts in various pressure classes; mostly for clean fluids or gases.
These valves are wisely selected considering many factors, among those: materials are chosen to withstand the corrosive and erosive effects; and the valves themselves are sized according to flow and pressure requirements; finally the flow obstruction within the valve is chosen to ease any anticipated problems like noise, cavitation or plugging.
